Our team is a carefully selected, skilled and passionate team.
We all work together in one room, allowing consistency for the children even if a team member is off. We all play a big part in ensuring that Hopscotch is the best place for children to be, working hard to create an exciting and welcoming environment. The team are always bursting with new ideas of how to make the children’s day of learning, fun and exciting.

I have been able to fulfil this dream of mine by having an amazing team of practitioners that are so passionate about their day to day role. We are always looking of ways in which we can improve our provision, offering the best we can for our families.
Dena -Manager
Level 6 - First Aid Trained - Safeguarding Lead
Dena was dragged out of retirement to temporarily help Mathilda during her maternity leave in 2024. Before this she was Manager of Widcombe Acorns Preschool where she’d been for 25 years! Dena is exceptional at what she does, always striving to improve the children’s experiences and learning, supporting our team to be the best they can in what they do.

Level 3 - First Aid Trained - Safeguarding Lead
Tigi joined Hopscotch in Spring 2025 to undergo training in order to step into the Manager role once Dena resumes retirement. Before this, she was Deputy Manager at Widcombe Acorns Preschool where she’d been for 10 years. Tigi offers continuous laughter and fun for the children and team, bringing in so much energy. She offers years of knowledge to help guide the team and support them in their day to day roles.

Beth joined Hopscotch in 2024 after moving from London with her husband and daughter. Before this, she had been working in a London Nursery for the last 4 years, managing the toddler room.

Level 3 - First Aid Trained
Emily has been working with Children since she gained her level 3 qualification in 2018. She then joined Hopscotch in 2022. She loves working with children to get to know their amazing personalities and watch them learn and grow! She's from a busy household with 3 younger brothers she helps to entertain! Emily loves books and she’s always introducing new stories for the children to learn.

Our wonderful Kimmie has been with us since 2011 and is the life and soul of Hopscotch! She’s a mother of 2, but that doesn’t stop her energy when she’s at Hopscotch. She’s always happy, passionate and creative, following the children's lead in exploring their imaginations, (unleashing the child within her!). To her, this is the best job in the world!

Emily joined Hopscotch in 2019. She is a mother of three and has always had a passion for working with children. She’s always eager to learn more about children’s development, helping them achieve their miles stones in their early stages of life.
Issie - Babies

Level 6 - First Aid Trained
Issie has been with Hopscotch since 2020. She found the love for working with children when taking care of her younger sister and cousins. She’s passionate about working with children and chose to study Early Years Development at Bath Uni, gaining her level 6 qualification.
Jam - Toddlers
Early Years Practitioner
Level 3 - First Aid Trained
Jam completed her level 2 apprenticeship in 2020 before going on to completed her level 3 qualification in 2022. She has worked across all ages, from 9 months to 4 years. She joined us in 2024 to help us with the Toddlers!
Alisha - Toddlers
Early Years Practitioner - Level 2
Alisha joined us in Spring 2025. She studied at Bath college in 2019 to gain her level 2 qualification. She has become one of the Todds, helping Jam with this marvellous group, introducing lots of fun activities and games to help maintain their attention! She’s gained lots of experience from looking after her baby sister at home.
Cheslea - Toddlers

Level 3 - First Aid Trained - Maternity Leave
Chelsea has been with Hopscotch since 2019 and loves to help the children develop, having fun with them and watching their personalities shine as they become more confident. She has recently become a mother of two, welcoming her second daughter to the world.
